★ 4.8I can’t tell you how much I love this place. Flying Bike is a corner stone of the Greenwood community. I have been doing Run Club there for 3 years. They are always rotating their taps with new and exciting beers to try. Their Cold IPA is one of my favorites (please bring it back!) Since Flying Bike is a co-op, members actually work there. They are deeply invested in the success of the business and go above and beyond to hold community events and make it fun for everyone. It’s a great place for families in the afternoon and date nights in the evenings. Being a member has a ton of benefits, like members only tasting events and even choosing what style will be their next beer. Please try it for yourself and experience why this is the place to be whenever you’re in Greenwood.
Great place to put the kick stand down for a few! Be sure to get the story behind the co-op idea and name (initially they thought the concept would work like a Flying Bike 🤣)! Friendly service, laid back vibes, and the hazy was crisp and fresh. Just won a medal for their porter too, but wasn’t in the mood. Love how they develop and select their offerings…maybe co-ops can lift off, if’n you pedal hard enough!
I'll tell you what. I've been venturing into this metropolis a lot lately, and my travels being me to the 8500 Block of Greenwood approximately 1.5 times per week. I don't drink beer, (gluten,) but Flying Bike has a TON of gluten-free alternatives. If you get here soon enough, try the Channel Marker Habanero Lime Cider. It's AMAZING! Other than that, the Taproom attendant/Beertender... whatever they're called now, Christian is super friendly and helpful. I recommend this place as a great pit stop! If you're here on a weekend in the evening, after you stop here, go to the Shanghai Room a few doors down for some comedy.
