Excellent teriyaki spot I’m going to crave now when I travel to Seattle. Quick ordering, clean bathroom on premise, a couple 2 tops out front. Big servings!! Only thing I can think of to improve would be more local kombucha or bubbly water options with lower sugar.

Takeout only, so plan accordingly, no seating. Parking is street only, but there's a loading zone right out front that's easy to pull up to. I got the combo with chicken teriyaki and spicy garlic chicken. Order was ready when I arrived, which I appreciated. The teriyaki had good char marks and solid flavor, exactly what you want from teriyaki. The spicy garlic chicken I'd put at maybe a 2/5 on heat, so don't go in expecting anything intense. It's pretty mild, west coast spicy. I actually wanted more flavor and heat from it, but my partner thought it was way too spicy, so there's a wide range there. Between the two, I preferred the spicy garlic. Rice was cooked well. Next on my list is the bang bang chicken. It's also connected to Salad Party, which is run by the same owners. Haven't tried it yet but I’m very curious.

Grillbird makes my sad little gluten free heart full of joy!!! They have the best chicken teriyaki and even my gluten eating partner agreed with me on this. The chicken is moist and the sauce is perfect and they cut it just right! I have also tried both the bang bang chicken and the sesame chicken and both of those were great too! The breading on the fried chicken bites stays crunchy even if you chill or reheat it, which is something I haven’t experienced in years! 😭 It is so good! Their portion sizes are generous so you really get a good value for cost. Also try the miso oat cookie, it is so so so worth it! I can’t resist getting it every time!
