If you’re looking for a really intimate, high-quality theater experience in North Seattle, Taproot is such a good spot. We saw Ain’t Misbehavin’ and the cast was amazing—super strong performances all around. The live band being on stage was awesome and added so much energy to the show. The setup feels really close and personal—honestly not a bad seat in the house, and the seating itself was super comfortable. The crowd was a nice mix, which made it feel welcoming and easy. Only heads up: it’s a little hard to tell your exact seat from the online map, and parking can take a minute, but we found a paid spot nearby without too much trouble. Great date night or something different to do—definitely coming back.

This was our first time here and we had a blast. We attended Sherlock Carol and loved the charming venue. I’m not sure there’s a bad seat in the house, as the actors carefully use the stage to involve everyone. We were blown away by how a few actors could accomplish so much in the show. Their ability to switch roles and accents and clothes was impressive. Everything about the venue is fantastic from the set design to the seating in the café and lobby area. A special shout out for the artwork on display in the lobby area. It really brought a lot of color to the space.
