Usually I have nothing but good things to say about the staff here. Unfortunately not today. The lady at self-checkout with the ponytail and dark to blue hair was extremely rude. I asked for help with something, and while helping, she twice cut me off and walked away as I was talking to her. As I was trying to explain something she cut me off saying "it doesn't matter to me" and walked off. I understand being busy, but you can at least be courteous to people. At least be kind. Even her tone of voice was rude the whole time. Every other staff member I have met there has been incredible. Today was disappointing.

I've been meaning to leave this review for a couple of weeks now, and these employees absolutely deserve the recognition. My girlfriend and I stopped in to pick up some flowers, gardening items, and a grill. Right away, two people working in the gardening section went above and beyond for us. A wonderful woman (I'm so sorry I didn't catch your name!) and a gentleman I believe was named Jorge were incredibly kind and even looked after our flowers and other items while we stepped inside to grab gloves and a few things for the house. When we mentioned we were also looking for a grill, both of them jumped right in to help. Jorge took our cart all the way over to the grill section while we pulled the car around to the garage area with our puppy. He stayed with us, helped us narrow down our options, and before heading out at the end of his shift, made sure we knew exactly who to ask for and where our cart would be waiting. That kind of handoff is rare and genuinely impressive. And the helpfulness didn't stop there. When we came back to purchase the last grill in stock, which happened to be the floor model, additional employees went out of their way to partially disassemble it so it would actually fit in our car. That's the kind of effort you just don't see every day. I can't say enough about this team. Every single person we interacted with was warm, patient, and genuinely invested in helping us have a great experience. It's rare to feel so well taken care of, and it absolutely made us loyal customers. We'll be back for everything we need going forward. Thank you all so much!

Well-Stocked Store with a Hidden Basement Bonus This Fred Meyer at 3rd and 85th is a good-sized store with a nice layout. Groceries are on the main floor, while furniture, electronics, and home goods are downstairs in the basement. Honestly, I always forget the basement is there, but it’s a great bonus when you remember to check it out. The store is generally well organized, and the shelves are consistently stocked, which makes shopping here easy and efficient. I also really like the garden center that opens in the spring. It looks like they’re setting it up now, and it’s always a great spot to browse for plants and gardening supplies once the season starts. My only real complaint is the receipt-checking when you leave. It’s very inconsistent — sometimes there’s a security guard asking to see receipts, sometimes not, and often it doesn’t seem to be enforced. The guard that’s there often appears more focused on who’s coming and going rather than actually checking receipts, which makes the process feel a bit random. Overall though, it’s a solid Fred Meyer location and a convenient place to shop.
